The Beginning of the Story ... Salesian
In September 1991, a new batch of students was admitted to the primary section of the Salesian English School , Hong Kong . Among these 6-year-old children are some of the original, core members of today's ThinMan. This was the first time some of the thin men met each other. Since then, they played together; they studied together; they grew up together. Salesian is where ThinMan was born; it is the root of ThinMan.

Pre-ThinMan Era ... Little SnakeMan vs. Viscous Youths
Football has been an essential element in the young thin men's life as they grew up together. In 1996-97, during the year of primary six, a football tournament was organized at Salesian by Br. Bosco Lai Wing-ming. The thin men decided to compete in this tournament, however, as two different teams - Little SnakeMan and Viscous Youths. This was the "First ThinMan Civil War" where they fought against each other for victory. The results of the competition might not be remembered anymore, but Little SnakeMan and Viscous Youths, as the first teams thin men founded, will live in our memories forever. Little SnakeMan and Viscous Youths are the predecessors of ThinMan and the youth teams of ThinMan are still bearing their glorious names.
The Golden Era ... Argentinian Thin Man
In 1997, most of the thin men graduated from primary school and moved on to the secondary section of Salesian. At Salesian, students from both the a.m. and p.m. class of the primary section are merged into the same class for the first time in form one. Although a majority of the thin men were p.m. class students, some of them from the a.m. class joined the ThinMan during the secondary-school years too. Football, as always, was the major communication tool between the old and the new thin men as their friendship was built.
The name of Argentinian ThinMan was used for the first time in, again, an in-school tournament in 1999. Afterwards, ThinMan competed in many different competitions, both in-school and out-of-school, during their secondary-school years. Some thin men also competed in inter-class tournaments and represented Salesian English School in the HKSSF Football Competition. The five years in secondary school were the golden years for the thin men.
Post-Secondary Era ... the Future
After the HKCEE in 2002, the thin men were parted. Some thin men continued their study at Salesian; some went to other schools; some started working; and some of them even went aboard. Although they are not meeting each other as often as they usually did, the friendship among the thin men is as strong as ever. In summer 2003, the first official ThinMan jersey was made. ThinMan is not simply a football team anymore; it symbolizes the friendship among the thin men and Argentinian Thin Man will last forever.
