Jay's Beijing Olympics journey comes to an end today at the Olympic Green Archery Field. He was eliminated by Russian Archer and eventual Bronze medalist Bair Badenov in the 1/8 eliminations round.
Although Jay shot five 10's during the match, he was trailing the Russian throughout the match. Except the first arrow, Badenov shot all of his arrows in the gold, of which eight at the bull's-eyes, and won the match 115-110.
Among the eliminated archers in this round, only Im Dong-Hyun of Korea shot a better score of 111; Jay ties with another Russian Baljinima Tsyrempilov at no. 10 in the overall ranking.
This is a very good result for Jay at his first Olympics appearance and we can expect more to come in London 2012! Good job Jay!
